Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days is a rough and ready crime shooter, which follows two brutal anti-heroes through Shanghai’s murky criminal underworld. Eidos (the game’s producers) have clearly been inspired by Hollywood and the whole thing looks and sounds like a gritty combination of Heat, Ronin, Miami Vice and LA Confidential; with a healthy serving of Tarantino-esque credibility. The graphics are simply breathtaking - the gameplay looks just like a movie! The cinematic sequences you experience through the game are pretty remarkable, so make sure you have your HDMI hooked up at the ready and that you’re strapped in tightly ‘cos this is one hell of a ride!
The story revolves around an insane 48 hours that sees the world of our anti-heroes Kane and Lynch turned upside down. One little mistake and they are propelled from mere petty criminals to Shanghai’s most wanted, you will soon understand that there are few people you can truly trust as you negotiate your way through the Shanghai underworld.
The multi-player arcade modes is where we had a lot of fun in the Galaxy office, in one, you join up as a team of robbers trying to escape with a $4 million loot. But, it gets interesting as players can kill their teammates, so that leaves you playing at a frantic pace all the while being very paranoid (it caused a few arguments in while we were playing it we can tell you!). Overall, it’s a marked improvement on the first and is a game that will provide enough variety to keep you entertained until your controllers are worn thin!
Luckily, as we are so kind to you, Galaxy have 3 copies of the game to give away to you lovely people, and all you have to do is answer the following question and the game could be on its way to you!
Kane & Lynch 2 is certified 18…so you need to be OVER 18 to enter. Be quick, as the comp closes 19th September 2010.
